Role
The Director of Influencer Marketing is a senior subject matter expert, thought partner and tactician. This role will design, lead, and implement influencer campaigns (both project-based and always-on programs) from strategy through execution. The ideal candidate will have active relationships, strong organizational skills, and a proven track record in leadership as this is a managerial position.
Our marquee influencer clients are headquartered on the west coast and require strong data and analytical skills; as such, we’ll prioritize qualified candidates who are positioned to meet these geographical and client service needs.

The ideal candidate will…
Co-develop and implement comprehensive data and insights-driven influencer marketing strategies aligned with clients’ marketing objectives
Present talent options, strategic rationale, and estimated results to client
Lead budgetary scenario planning, including driving client presentation and alignment, ensuring strategic budgetary allocations
Lead, mentor, and grow a team of influencer marketing professionals, establishing departmental best practices and fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement. This is a player/coach position – the ideal candidate will be equally comfortable presenting big picture team plans to a room of execs as they are rolling up their sleeves on creator vetting.
Oversee internal budgets for all influencer marketing campaigns, ensuring optimal resource allocation
Proactively identify trends, ways of doing business, and upcoming talent to optimize client influencer programs
Continue to identify and build relationships with key influencers, agencies, and contract support staff
Plan and execute highly data driven influencer campaigns (often times concurrently) that align with the brand messaging and goals, including managing operations (author SOWs, budget, manage contract negotiations, contract redlines, payment processes)
Collaborate closely with internal teams including Strategy colleagues, Data & Insights, Content, and Client Services to ensure maximum campaign and program success
Co-develop talent creative briefs in collaboration with Content Team
Collaborate with both internal and client analytics teams to ensure a rigorous influencer selection process, measure the progress of campaigns and provide regular updates to team members
Monitor and measure the performance of influencer campaigns providing regular reports, insights and recommendations to clients
Keep colleagues & leadership team informed about the status of projects, insights, results and opportunities for the business and team.
Has…
8+ years successfully developing and executing influencer strategies and partnerships, ideally in an agency, brand or production/studio environment.
A strong understanding of social media platforms, current trends, pop culture, and the ability to identify relevant cultural moments for brand integration.
Exceptional written and oral communication, and strong presentation skills.
Proven negotiation skills with the ability to build and maintain strong relationships with influencers and partners; experience with entertainment law best practices and contracts a plus.
Experience with influencer search and analytics tools (CreatorIQ, Traacker, HypeAuditor, or others).
An analytical mindset and should be mindful of measurement in everything they do - strategy, creator search, guidance, briefing and beyond.
A vast and dependable network of agents and managers in the creator economy
Creative thinking and the ability to develop innovative campaigns that stand out in the market.
A teamwork mentality with acute attention to detail – highly organized, professional, and discreet with a strong sense of urgency and ability to multitask.
Solution-oriented – can spot problems, as well as solve them.
Experience with paid media a plus.

*The salary range for this role is $150,000 to $175,000 annually. Starting salary will vary based on criteria such as location, experience, and qualifications.
