We Need Your Help Making an Awesome Video
Dogs are superheroes! They brighten, change, and even save our lives. To celebrate just how amazing our canine companions are, we’re inviting people across the country to tell us what their dog’s superpower is (be it big or small, silly or meaningful). All you have to do is film a quick selfie video on your cell phone and send it in with a photograph or video of your dog. If we use your video, you’ll be paid $100 U.S. dollars.
Selfie video submissions are due by January 16th, 2019. Your dog DOES NOT need to appear in the selfie video.
Please email selfie videos to firstname.lastname@example.org. Include your full name, phone number, and PayPal email address (if applicable) in the email.
In your video, respond to the following prompts:
Tell me your dog’s name. Tell me their age and breed(s).
What is your dog’s superpower? Tell me how it has brightened, changed, or even saved your life. Be specific! Tell a story if you have one.
Tell me about the bond you have with your dog. How has it changed your life?
Please email at least one photograph or video of your dog, preferably one that has you and your dog together (cell phone images are fine). If at all possible, send in a photograph or video of your dog showing off their superpower!

1.) Tell me your dog’s name. Tell me their age and breed(s).
My dog’s name is Pickles. He is an 8-year-old Labradoodle.
My dog’s name is Professor DumbleDog. She is a four-year-old Havanese.
My dog’s name is Royal Rumpus. She is a six-month-old Beagle mix.
2.) What is your dog’s superpower? Tell me how it has brightened, changed, or even saved your life. Be specific! Tell a story if you have one.
My dog’s superpower is to protect me from the big, bad vacuum. Whenever I vacuum my house, Daisy barks and barks and growls and tries to pull me away to safety.
My dog’s superpower is built in GPS. I do a lot of walking and more than once I have gotten myself turned around. Arturo has helped get me home every time.
My dog’s superpower is cancer detection. Moon started jumping and pawing at my chest. It was so weird. A week later the pain started. I knew I had to get it checked out. I found out I had breast cancer. I doubt I would have gone in so quick if it wasn’t for Moon.
My dog’s superpower is being the best medication out there. My doctor encouraged me to get a dog. Ever since then, I’ve been healthier, happier, and more adventurous.
My dog’s superpower is she can make any toy, sock, or other small item disappear… at least for a short while. We’ll eventually find it under a bed, behind the couch, or even in the toilet.
3.) Tell me about the bond you have with your dog. How has this bond changed your life?
Milo and I have a very close bond. We seem to understand each other’s emotions, whether it’s sadness or excitement. No matter what it is, we experience it all together. Were it not for him being by my side every evening, I am not sure I would have gotten through medical school without having a mental breakdown.
My bond with Juniper is very special. I’ve learned a lot from her. Juniper freely shares her love with me and anyone. She is kind to everyone. She has taught me to be less judgmental and more open to other people. She has taught me to love more freely. My personal relationships have gotten better because I try and be a bit more like her.
My bond with scruffy changed my life. I am definitely an introvert. I like doing my own thing. Even so, I do get lonely. I got Scruffy to fight that. I never realized how much more enjoyable even the most mundane of activities can be with a dog. Dinner time, TV, walking to the park. I’ve even started talking to people on our walks. Sounds small, but it is a big deal for me.
